Dashboard Managers Onboarding Guide
PrinciplesUs is a platform designed to enhance team dynamics by strengthening self-awareness and understanding of others, and by making culture measurable and actionable over time.
At the heart of PrinciplesUs is our personality assessment, developed by Ray Dalio and leading psychometricians Drs. Adam Grant, Brian Little, and John Golden. It combines best-in-class assessment frameworks and leading personality science to provide individuals with an extensive picture of how they prefer to think, engage with others, and apply themselves.
PrinciplesUs also includes the Principles 5Cs Assessment, powered by the 5Cs model: Connection, Candid Communication, Clarity, Collaboration, and Contribution. The 5Cs help teams and organizations identify the underlying cultural strengths and risks that shape day-to-day execution, engagement, and performance, then prioritize practical focus areas for improvement.
Together, these tools enable teams to reflect on individual results, learn about one another through 1:1 comparisons and team visualizations, and align on the cultural conditions that help them work more effectively and achieve stronger organizational outcomes.
Over time, we have found PrinciplesUs to be a powerful tool for coaches and consultants to facilitate more meaningful and effective client engagements. Principles was built to help coaches use both the personality and culture assessments in a more seamless, scalable way across clients. The Coaching Dashboard provides a one-stop shop where coaches can quickly set up client accounts, deploy assessments, and manage accounts on an ongoing basis.
Getting Started With Your Coaching Dashboard
To get your Coaching Dashboard set up, contact us at support@principles.com. In your message, please include the following information.
Required information
A. The name of your internal coaching practice or organization
B. The names and email addresses of anyone on your team who should be added to your Coaching Dashboard
By default, you will be assigned the role of Dashboard Manager. Any additional coaches you add will only be able to view or manage clients that you explicitly grant them access to.
Account setup and login
If you do not yet have a Principles account, you will receive an invitation from donotreply@principles.com. Select Setup my Account, create a password, and sign in to the application.

If you already have a Principles Tools account, you can log in using your existing credentials at my.principles.com.
To migrate any existing accounts into the Coaching Dashboard, we will also need the following details.
- Which of your existing accounts are currently being used for client engagements
- Whether other people in your practice currently have access to those accounts and if so whether they should retain access and at what level User or Admin
- Which existing account or accounts, if any, are being used internally with your own team or coaching practice
Once migration is complete, we will prompt you to log back in. When you sign in, you will see the Coaching Dashboard with any existing clients migrated into the dashboard view.
If you identified an account used internally for your own team or coaching practice, that account will remain unchanged and can be accessed under Switch Team.
Create a new client
After signing in, you will have access to the Coaching Dashboard and all related features. To set up your first client, select + New Client.
